Nooga Runs NashBash

Dominant showing from the boys down South

Rain and thunderstorms threatened as the wind surged from one end of the field, but the music, energy, and excitement kept on as Nashville's annual XVs tournament "Nash Bash" played out on numerous fields at the grounds.

Knowing Nashville has a quality kicker, Nooga knew they had to minimize their penalties which lost them games in the fall, but they knew that their offense has been ticking, the forwards have been rolling, and their defense has been stifling.

The match started off fast with Nashville kicking to Chattanooga and Nooga using phase play to march down the pitch and score right away. Nashville won the kickoff and in turn scored on their opening possession too, marched down into penalty range (earning a penalty) and slotting the 3 to go up 10-7.

Nooga had a super sexy play using their stallion winger Chase Riemer who used the draw-and-pass to perfection in a 2v1 against Nashville's fullback, and Nooga didn't look back from there. They only allowed 11 points, all in the first half, and with a flying defense, solid individual tackling, and great ball retention, Nooga won the match soundly 33-11 and not only earning that crucial bonus point, but stopping Nashville from earning any.

Final score 33-11 Chattanooga.
