The Social 7s Tournament of the Year
2020 Canceled Officially
COVID-19 CANCELLATION ANNOUNCEMENT
As hosts of this great tournament it is our duty and responsibility to all parties to ensure the safety and limit exposure as best as we can. Since Covid-19 continues to spike and die down in waves, local governments change their rules, and teams from many different states come to Pitch-a-Tent, we have made the tough decision to fully cancel 2020 Pitch-a-Tent.
We hate to cancel it, but we have to put safety first...it'll be alright, 2021 will be the best year yet!
***By showing up to Pitch-a-Tent 2020 you agree to the following:***
Upon arrival, all attendees will be non-contact temperature tested. If anyone has a temperature above the health standards for a fever they will be turned away from PAT 2020, as well as the entire car they arrive with. Therefore, please do your part to temp check before departing for PAT 2020; it's better to leave 1 behind at home than have the whole group removed upon arrival.
**NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED FOR AN INDIDIVUDAL OR A PARTY BEING TURNED AWAY**
*As stated below, refunds will be issued if the tournament as a whole gets canceled*
*Party Friday night*
**FREE BREAKFAST for first-time attendees Saturday morning (listen for the signal)**
***First kick off is at 9am on Saturday***
Private property: No campfires. No fireworks. No children. No pets.
NoogaRugby's 19th annual Pitch-a-Tent 7's is scheduled for Friday, August 28th and Saturday, August 29th just South of Chattanooga, TN at the world famous Cherokee Farms in Lafayette, GA.
Gates open at noon on Thursday for you early birds coming to party all weekend!
As usual, there will be some rugby played, and the 2020 tournament will be open to 32 men’s teams and 32 women’s teams. Teams will be listed as they get registered. Note: Registration is now available -- Click here or the Payment tab above.
We're all here to party!
Rugby is second best here because we all know Pitch-a-Tent didn't become famous nationwide due to the caliber of rugby being played; it has become the nation's largest (social) 7s event for its own reasons!
Decide on a theme for your team, dress up, go all out, have a blast!
Slip-n-slides, co-ed showers, 60 kegs, dance party, loud music, flashing lights... lots of drinking, little bit of rugby!
Awards will be presented for "best themed team", "furthest traveled", "that guy" and "that girl" ...and a few as well for people who actually played rugby, but back to the fun! Belly flop contest, clothing-optional egg-toss contest, etc!
Trophies and prizes for all these events and more will be awarded, oh and FREE BREAKFAST on Saturday morning (for first-time attendees)
Payment Information - full refund will be issued if Covid-19 cancels the event
Men’s Entry Fee: $400
Women’s Entry Fee: $325
Individual (whore) Fee: $20
Thursday Night Pre-Welcome Party
While the official tournament welcome party is Friday night at the tournament site, NoogaRugby is also hosting a pre-welcome party in downtown Chattanooga on Thursday night for those of you who come into town early for the rafting (see below).
The Welcome Pre-Party will start at our newly renovated home bar, "Mike's Hole" at 6:30 pm and include one (1) free keg. Once the free keg is kicked, you're on your own but the good news is that Mike's sells some of the cheapest beer in town. Usually we start there and after a few hours we bar hop our way through the rest of downtown Chattanooga.
**Any and all Pitch-a-Tent participants are encouraged to attend**
